Bedrijfsprofiel External Reporting Analyst
The External Reporting and Policy Department is part of Group Finance and is responsible for the reliable and controlled financial reporting to senior management, supervisors and the public. Key activities of the department are the preparation of the annual report and interim financial statements under IFRS, review and challenge of the financial submissions made by the branches as well as roll out of Group policies into the regions.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Contribute to the production of the financial information with limited supervision and adhering to strict reporting deadlines


• Perform work of varied and considerable difficulty requiring advanced data collection, analysis, and compiling and writing reports


• Participate in projects that affect or improve the external financial reporting of the Bank


• Prepare consolidated bank balance sheet, income statement and movements in equity on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis


• Take full ownership of parts of the interim financial reports and annual report


• Perform analytical procedures on the consolidated balance sheet and income statement and explain significant developments in the presented figures


• Ensure adequate and timely preparation of external deliverables to ensure that reporting to regulators (DNB, AFM, SEC etc) and other stakeholders can be done timely


• Determine that reported information is in compliance with GAAP (IFRS)


• Ensure all documentation is in accordance with the internal documentation requirements


• Support the process of preparation of internal management information where applicable


• Ensure that new accounting standards are adequately implemented in the reporting environment of the Bank to achieve full compliance with all reporting standards


• Serve as a resource to others in resolving more complex problems


• Develop processes and procedures to further improve the quality and timeliness of the Bank's reporting process and to strengthen financial control reporting environment


• Coach and provide training-on-the-job to junior team members.

• Educational level: Academic with a financial economics background


• At least 5 years experience in bank or financial institution


• In depth understanding of financial reporting processes and financial systems


• Interested in joining a team that is relatively new, energetic and working in a changing and challenging environment


• Strong accounting background and knowledge of IFRS and their application within fina
