Responsible for the successful operational execution of the order management and European wide distribution for a specific customer through an operational team. Through high levels of customer engagement and understanding the customer needs, the role will impact the organization by managing and coordinating the key team. The key area of responsibility is to maintain and develop new and existing operations and staff to ensure a best in class service both internally and externally to our customer. Day to day operational management of our customers freight department to include

• This role will own the relationship with the customer at an operational level
• This role will own the relationship with key internal suppliers
• Manage a logistics team which will operationally execute the business
• Manage all communications into EU country hubs and the Customer administration teams
• Management of Unacknowledged items
• Adherence to Guidelines
• External & Internal Audits (Quality/Customer/SGI etc)
• Action any operational items following results from QBR's/Audits
• Ensure the department is adequately staffed to meet the productivity and quality targets.
• Participation in management meetings/development of the branch going forward
• Supplier Selection responsibilities in conjunction with Direct Manager
• Supplier management ? relationship building in conjunction with Direct Manager

Customer & Business Development

To ensure that the customer is serviced in a professional manner.

Build upon existing client relationships, participation at QBR's

Ensure all staff receive adequate training in all systems, policies, procedures and practices

Annual reviews with all staff to include training programmes for further development

Be a mentor to each of the staff in assisting and encouraging them to look for innovative ways of performing their function more productively.

Gestelde eisen

• Afgeronde opleiding op het gebied van logistiek of management.
• Minimaal vijf jaar ervaring in de logistiek en wegvracht, inclusief Customer Management.
• Uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden.
• Bewezen managementkwaliteiten.
• Kennis en ervaring met logistieke processen.
• Kennis van Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• Creative denker
• Team player, maar ook in staat zijn om leiding te geven
