SQL Developer / DBA

Algemene omschrijving

There is a position available in the administration team for a Database Developer. Participation and assessing the the development and extension of the database is part of your job and responsibility. You will also be supporting several other departments with delivery, analysis and reporting, open discussions about opportunities and expansions, improvements in processes, stability and cost reduction are part of your core activities.

• You are responsible for the management and the logical design and technical architecture.
• Setup and maintenance of the servers, taking care of back-ups.
• You are the manager of several databases and environments. You are in the middle of everything for daily administration of the database environment. A large part of your role is the making sure production processes, performance and availability are at a maximum. You are the shepherd of the logical model.

Gestelde eisen

• Fluent in written and spoken English, Dutch beneficial.
• You have a European passport or valid working permit and live within a 1 hour travel distance of Amsterdam center.

SQL Databases

• Design datamodels
• Programming in T-SQL
• Source control and version management
• Performance tuning
• setting up and management of reports

SQL Server

• Technical server administration
• Backup- restore
• Availability

Other competences

• Ability to translate technical to functional (non-IT)
• A mix between pragmatic and functional design.
• Creative in solution and design
• Supporting the organisation with database questions (Finance en Marketing).

Candidate profile

• Bsc or Msc in IT.
• A minimum of 3-5 years working experience in a similar position.
• Sufficient knowledge and experience with relational database modeling.
• Well versed with OO Design (optional)
• Experience normalising and replicating databases.
• Analytical, results-oriented, strong communicative skills

Salary: 3000 - 5000 euros per month depending on experience and background
