Algemene omschrijving
• Through a variety of surcharges UPS bills its customers for either non standard (size or shape) packages or non standard pickup or delivery locations. A key job responsibility will be to drive initiatives to increase controls to maximize these types of additional revenue which currently make up more then 10% of our annual revenue of approximately $ 500 mill.
• During recent years a number of processes have been consolidated in various locations in either Europe or abroad. One of these processes concerns the cash collected for certain shipment types which is currently processed for the Benelux out of our SSC in Poland. Your responsibility will be to play a coordinating role between the SSC and the operational departments.
• An important part of your responsibilities will be to conduct and coordinate internal audits both for F&A as well for operational departments.
• Assist other financial functions with reconciliations, analysis etc.
• Assist with statutory reporting work.
Gestelde eisen
• Minimal HEAO Accountancy level
• Minimal 4 years of relevant F&A experience in an international organization.
• The ideal candidate is able to demonstrate to have above average analytical skills, to be able to take independent actions, initiatives and at times long ranging decisions, in addition to having the ability to grasp complex issues within a short timeframe.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a hectic environment
• No 9 to 5 mentality
• Strong, English as well as Dutch, communication and writing skills.
• Good computer skills – amongst which advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint as well as Access)
